The Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage is designed to give volunteers the opportunity to teach local children, care for injured or abandoned wildlife, and get fully immersed in the South African bush and culture. As teachers and caretakers volunteers are vital to the success of the program.
Spending your days teaching and helping care for the animals around camp. This can be anything from feeding an animal, to cleaning their enclosures or picking up a hammer and renovating their homes.

Rehabilitation Centre

The Small Animal Rehabilitation Centre is not only a wildlife rehabilitation centre for small mammals and birds but also specializes in the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned bats and is involved extensively in the conservation of bats through education and humane exclusions.
No previous experience is required as this will be provided at the centre, however project is not for those who prefer to sit back and watch as you will be required to work, but this can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life as you nurse small animals back to strength for release back into the wild.

Sigagule Community Eco-Village

Volunteers are vital to the daily running of the Eco-village. Assisting staff as they focus on early childhood development, food security, English literacy, social integration, environmental education, conservation experiences and entrepreneurial training.
Creating sustainable change and long-term impact for communities and conservation. By working together to grow resilient communities that are healthy, educated and with access to great opportunities, the poverty cycle can be broken and thus put an end to the poaching epidemic.

Vervet Monkey
Rehabilitation Centre

The Vervet Monkey Rehabilitation Centre is dedicated to rehabilitating and providing sanctuary for orphaned, injured and abused vervet monkeys. The centre currently cares for over 500 monkeys and takes in many orphans each year. Volunteers are an integral part of the team as they are assist in Husbandry, feeding, building new enclosures, observations and maintaining the upkeep of the centre.
No previous experience is necessary, just caring and dedication.
You will be helping to rehabilitate vervet monkeys into viable troops for release into protected reserves, integrating them back into their natural environment.
