About the event

Our biggest event of the year! Join us for our 4th annual WALK 4 WILDLIFE under the stars!

Registration and Ticket Sales will open at 17h30. We request that all participants arrive in plenty of time as tickets sales will close at 18h15. Following a short briefing we aim to set off no later than 18h30.

Make sure you are on time: For safety reasons, late comers will not be able to participate once the last participant has left the starting line.

All participants must wear a face mask/covering throughout the event and adhere to social distancing rules.

We anticipate the walk to take approximately an hour to an hour and a half, but how quickly you finish is up to you! Remember, this is not a race but runners are welcome and will be allowed to start first.

As this is a full moon walk, there will be no artificial lighting provided along the route. We rather you let you eyes adjust so you can enjoy the natural light of the moon. Should we be unlucky on the night and is overcast then we highly advise that you bring a torch and if it rains, bring an umbrella. (We will only cancel due to rain if it is a heavy shower, make sure to follow this event page for updates)

This is a family friendly event, however please note that due to the walk being held on a bush trail, it is not suitable for push chairs. Please ensure that any children joining the event are able to walk the full 5km, or that a parent or guardian can carry them throughout the 5km trail.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

We regret no dogs allowed.

Walk Entry Fees - R50 each (Tickets are purchased on the day at registration) Cash is preferred, however card facilities will be available on the day for an additional fee of R5 per swipe to cover the banking fees.

All funds raised directly benefit local conservation NPOs; Scales Conservation Fund, ReWild Rehabilitation Centre, Pangolin Rescue Fund, Protrack Rhino Task Team and The Bush Babies Environmental Education Program.

Please bring extra cash for a drink stop along the route. There will be two water points with FREE water available as well as a selection of cool drinks, beer, cider and spirit coolers available to purchase. (CASH ONLY)

If you wish to take advantage of Thirsty Giraffes amazing menu on the night, be sure to book in advance by contacting 081 030 4568 in order to guarantee you get a table because on the night, they will be busy!

We looking forward to seeing you there!!
